can't fillet more than tow surfaces?

I'm trying to fillet several planes, but I can only fillet two,if I try to connect at 3rd plane to the first two, I get an error.
"two surfaces or two selected faces required in input object(s)"

does this mean that I can't connect stair steps using srfFillet?

Ern,

The Surface Fillet tool currently only works on two surfaces. However, I do like your idea of adding multiple surfaces.
