Hi,

I am a long time user of 3DS MAX and like a lot of people I have my own key bindings for various commands. The problem I'm having is that whenever I'm editing a PowerNurbs object, the plug-in automatically overrides all my MAX shortcuts with its own keyboard shortcuts or simply disables my shortcuts. Anyone know a way to disable the PowerNurbs keyboard shortcuts or remap them properly?

Thanks,

Pete

Can you please give me an example of the shortcuts overrides that bother you most?

Disable the Keyboard Override Toggle and your Max shortcuts will work, but the nPower Object ones will be disabled. This works the same way with most objects in 3ds Max, like Edit/Editable Mesh/Poly.

Thank you Eric,

What I am asking here is how can we improve npower keyboard short cuts to work better with our users normal workflow?

The problem isn't the chosen shortcuts, because everyone will have their own, but how the tools and application handle them. If you could make the nPower shortcuts customizable and still show the custom keys in the modifiers, when needed (for example for sketch vertex types), that would be the best approach. Otherwise the user needs to get use to using the keyboard toggle override, which is a builtin Max feature for this reason.
