I loved the movie you made. Excellent work.;)

The problem you have is really a bug and a current limitation of the software. The compsketch is an approximation not a duplicate of the original curve. The compsketch currently does not have the intellience to know the start end postions of each of the curves it is sampleing from the original multi curve type. When you execute a blend command each blend goes to a seperate segment of the curve. LAME. I am submitting this as a bug to the dev team.

Now, I have come up with a solution to this specific problem

Since the outer compsketch was created form a planer curve I used the the power planer tool to made make a plane. Then I used the trim tool and selected the inner curve and trimmed in the hole

Sorry. We've been "fighting fires" here in San Diego. Our building and our homes were evacuated from the San Diego fires, so we haven't been very responsive this week.

Thanks. I believe that all of our families are safe. And it appears that the danger has passed (although the fires are still not contained, and we are still in the mandatory evacuation zone). I'm actually at work today because I feel safe. But most of the offices around here are still vacant.
