Just some problems doing a littet test

A 9 mb step file is converted to a 24 mb maya file.?

Can you convert a npower shape via edit convert?

If you used the duplicate special option. (geometry type) instance
You still have to manually set the shape options individually in every model you copyed.

Hi Kent,

Of course the Maya file will be larger than the STEP file. The STEP file doesn't have all of the same data.

Yes, the edit convert option should work. Has anyone else tried that?

Could you please explain the last part? I'm sort of a novice Maya user.
