Hello.

We got 3dmax 2008 installed with a network licence.
To import CAD data we would like to take PowerTranlator. I installed the PT on my machine and activated the software via turbosquid.
Everything was fine. I was able to import geometry. No problem when starting 3dmax several times.

But after I had restarted my system, 3dmax does not find a valide licence any more.
I uninstalled PT, but nothing changed. No valide licence.

Is this correct? Should it work?

Can we change the single-user-licence into a networklicence?

Thank you in advance,
Matthias

Hello Matthias,

Check to make sure that your license is running. Run the tool C:/Program Files/DCPFLICS/DCPFLICS_Tools.exe. If the process isn't started, use that tool to start the process. You can also click on the "Licenses" tab to see what licenses it thinks you have. It may be that it didn't really authorize you the first time. In that case, you should check to make sure your configuration file (nPower_Config30.ini) matches your products that you have licensed. That's the most common failure.
