hy
has anyone tried to bring in a powernurbs model to hypershot to render ? i would love to render all my powernurbs models with hypershot, but is there a direct way to import it to hypershot. hypershot just takes .obj & some Cad filetypes...
i read something in the last newsletter, but couldn`t figure out.

Probably be best to ask on the hypershot support/forums/whatever as to how to get CAD/NURBS data in. From there you can figure out what formats you can export from Max/Power Translator to hypershot.

I have Power Translator Pro which comes with the Translator (Import/Export of BREP objects) plus Power NURBS Pro. I am not sure what export options come with your version of Power NURBS. I would contact David and ask him what comes with the version of the product you have.
You could always find out by doing a File > Export > NURBS Brep Export option and test the formats and see if it creates the files. *.STP, *.3dm, *.SAT, and *.IGS are standard CAD formats. You would probably get best results from the first 2 or 3 formats.

You can also convert your model to a mesh and export it to Bunkspeed as an OBJ
