Hello community, hello n-power-team,

when I have finished my model and when I have made it an editable nurbs with joint surfaces and no open edges, what do I have to do to make it a volume?

(The statisics show: Vertices: X; Faces: X; Open Edges: 0; Volumes: 0).

Or isn't this a feature of "Power Surface" which I am working with?

Kind regards
Arnim

From the help file:# Volumes: Tells how many closed volumes there are.If there are no open edges, then it should be a volume. I would post a file of the object, hard to say what is going on without seeing the file.

Hello Eric,

thanks again for your reply.

Regrettably I am not allowed to send you this object because of copyright-reasons.

But at least I know, that this is an individual problem of this model. So I watch it, and when it occurs again on an other model I post it together with the model.

Kind regards
Arnim

Hello Arnim,

You probably need to use the Power Join tool to join together some of the open edges. What does the model look like?

Hello Dave,

thanks for your suggestion. I have joint the single parts together in previous steps, but maybe I have done some mistakes with that. I have already found one mistake wtih overlapping faces from a blend-surface (of cause I have corrected that).

I realize, that I need some more practice not only to know how powernurbs works but also to get a feeling of it.

Kind regards
Arnim

Hello Arnim,

Yes, because of the large amount of functionality, it takes a while to learn everything about Power NURBS. But I think it's worth the time spent to learn it. :-)
