ok, here it goes: I'm trying to model my Pinarello Marvel road bicycle and I got stuck modeling a fork juncture. The problem is that there are 2 tubes joining into one. My approach was to cut the detail into half and then mirror it. I am unable to set it up correctly - I get a lot of surface imperfections (see attached image: fork.jpg).I also uploaded a photo of this particular detail and also my max file.

Any suggestions, solutions or links to similar threads would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend creating 2 surfaces (1 for the fork that surrounds the tire and one for the part that comes down from the handle bars) and either boolean or trim where you want them connected and then use filleting or blending to control the intersection.
