Products Made with Power Solids

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had a list that was compiled of any known products built with Power Solids, or any of the Npower line of software. Im sure there must be many products designed and sold commercially, and I think there should be a list (if its known). Its kind of like when you see a movie and you see a program listed in the credits, Maya, Nuke, C4D, etc. Every movie built with a specific program adds credibility to the softwares value.

Hi Brian,

We don't have such a list, but it would be long. It would include lots of games (Blizzard, SEGA, Disney, Blur, Microsoft, etc.), lots of movies (I know that Hell Boy was for instance, but they usually don't bother telling us. Fox Sports and other media also use it), lots of engineering products (Whirlpool, Harley Davidson, Toyota, US Army, Catepillar, Honda, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Boeing, etc.), lots of consumer products & cell phones (Sony, Johnson & Johnson, IKEA, Panasonic, Bose, Fisher Price, Pioneer, etc.), lots of buildings / architecture (Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Cannon Design Architecture, etc.), lots of furniture, even some clothing type products.

Well, it would be nice to have a list of the actual products. Customers will need to provide that list (and generally they are somewhat secretive about their process and techniques).

That's quite a list of companies, and I think you should use this as a marketing angle. I bring all of this up because when I offer to build a product with power solids, the client thinks this isnt an industry standard modeling program. Now, if I had that list of companies, there would be no question on their end...

Also, remember that there are potentially even more usage now since we have seen the addition of B.ody Objects in 3ds max, and now with Direct Connect in 3ds max 2013 using B.ody Objects as well.

Unfortunately, as David said getting companies to allow their employees to share that information can be very difficult.

David has seen the stuff I have done with their wonderful tools, but getting the okay to share that information for nPower marketing material is a different story and not up to me, unfortunately.
