nPower Software announces version 1.2 of Power Solids, with significant new functionality.  Customers asked for it, and nPower Software delivered.  The revolutionary Power Solids plug-in, which introduced the power of solids modeling to 3ds max has now greatly extended the power and flexibility of modeling by adding tools to create and edit both surfaces and open shells.  Power Solids 1.2 includes the following new advanced features:

  • Merge / Sew surfaces into solids
  • Extrude, Revolve, Skin, Sweep with open loops to create complex surfaces
  • Deletion of Faces to enable Surface Trimming
  • Automatically remove excess faces when combining surfaces with solids
  • Extract Selected Faces into BrepObjects or NURBS
  • Extract Selected Faces / Edges into Curves
  • Flipping the normals of selected faces in a shell

Power Solids allows you to create a virtually limitless assortment of complex geometry.  The mouse shown below can be constructed quickly with only a few steps (see how simple it is to create this mouse with Power Solids - ).  With Power Solids, the only limit is your creativity.

The following example shows how Power Solids can be animated (with 4 frames from a Power Solids animation).

"Fantastic, it all works like a charm!!!  I couldn't be happier with the results!!  Thanks for the help!  I have used Photoshop for years and have only been into 3d for a short time but I have to say that this is the most excited I have been about any plug-in! I was immediately building objects that just a short time ago would've been impossible for me! Thanks!"
