Power Surfacing Render Worker

Render images and animations in batch mode on this computer or a different one.

Batch rendering for your Power Surfacing projects

A free companion product for Power Surfacing Viz, Studio, and RE Studio. Queue still images, turntables, and animations, then let the Render Worker process the jobs.

Run it on the same Windows computer as Power Surfacing, or on a different Windows computer to keep rendering work off your main machine.

Prepare your scene and rendering settings in your Power Surfacing application, then send the job through a queue folder. The worker processes queued jobs and saves the rendered results for your application to collect. Cycles and LuxCore rendering engines and their required runtimes are included.

Getting started

  1. Run the installer on the Windows computer that will render your jobs and follow its setup instructions.
  2. Select a queue folder. For rendering on the same computer, use a local folder. For another computer, use a shared folder that both computers can read and write.
  3. Start the worker, then select that same queue folder in Power Surfacing's remote rendering settings.
  4. Prepare your scene and render settings in Power Surfacing, submit the jobs, and let the worker process the queue.

GPU rendering

For high performance GPU rendering of large assemblies, we recommend a graphics card with at least 8 GB of GPU memory.

Updating an existing worker

Stop the worker after its current frames finish, close its control window, and run the new installer.
